The Wizard of Oz (1939) - FRANK MORGAN’S PANTS

Frank Morgan’s Pants

Mr. Morgan wore these pants in the beginning scenes from THE WIZARD OF OZ. As the character Professor Marvel, he comforts Dorothy (Judy Garland), who had just run away from home. Mr. Morgan also played The Wizard in this classic film which was directed by Victor Fleming. The pants were designed by famed costumer Adrian. THE WIZARD OF OZ was nominated for 5 Academy Awards. It won for Best Original Score and Best Song (“Over the Rainbow”).

In 2009 Movie Madness purchased these pants from a private collector, whose grandmother was a seamstress for MGM in the 1930s.
