Ms. Andrews wore this dress in the 1965 Best Picture of the Year "The Sound Of Music". She wore this dress in the sequence where she sings "Do Re Mi" with the Von Trapp children. "The Sound of Music" won 5 of its 10 Academy Award nominations. Well-known Costume Designer Dorothy Jeakins, who created this dress for Ms. Andrews, was among the nominees.
